Guest Editorial: Nano-Networking for Nano-, Micro-, Macro-Scale Applications

چکیده

As we find ourselves more than one year into the pandemic, it has become apparent that many paths must be investigated to develop methods mitigate impact of pathogenic threats. While not a solution all challenges induced by interplay between communication systems and biological ones is emerging important. We, as engineers, have role play in these novel, interdisciplinary research areas. We envision future where implanted nano-devices can provide drug delivery, or network health telemetry from within body using molecular communications signaling mechanism. There been significant advances biologically relevant over last decade, collection papers on this featured topic are examples for how field evolving maturing. evidenced papers, engineers collaborating with biologists creating their own testbeds validate theoretical contributions. The concepts proposed getting closer being realized practice.
